Other ethnic groups include Europeans, Arabs and Ethiopians. French and Arabic are the official languages. Somali and Afar are also widely spoken. The nation’s official currency is the Djiboutian franc. The country’s main religion is Islam, and every town and village has a mosque. Around 94% of the population follows Islam, while the rest adhere to the beliefs of Christianity. |
